Many organizations seek help with performance appraisal, because it can be a complex and sensitive issue. The questions they typically face fall into three broad areas:

Have existing system, but unhappy
A performance appraisal system is in place, but for various reasons, the organization is unhappy with it. They may feel it's ineffective, inappropriate, out-of-date or in need of an overhaul. They are interested in how to fix the problems, or if necessary, replace the system with something better.

No existing system
In this case, no employee appraisal process exists. The organization is keen to explore the possibilities. What kind of appraisal system would suit? How should it work? Whom should it include?

System in development
An appraisal system is under development and the organization wants it expertly critiqued. The idea is to find and fix any problems while the system is still formative and "under wraps".

WHAT WE DO
We investigate, recommend and report. We interview the key people whose ideas and views are critical to the appraisal project. We assess the needs of your organization. We take account of a wide range of issues, such as organisation culture, employee attitudes, best practices, and industry and occupational types. From the raw information, we compile our assessment report. Each report is unique and strictly confidential.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE?
The process takes about 4 to 6 weeks. Very large and complex organizations may take longer.

SUBSEQUENT STAGES
What about afterwards? What if more help is needed with the design and deployment of an appraisal system? Will Archer North & Associates help with subsequent stages? Yes. If you want us to develop and deploy the whole system on-site, and train your people (or train your trainers) in how to use it, we can do that too. Our level of contribution is fully scaleable: you tell us how much or how little.
